1.6 DOHC 16V, SR16 NEO VVL, 4 cylinder engine which produces a stunning 175bhp.

The car has all of the usual mod cons, AC, PAS, EW, CD player (Kenwood after market - very good), twin air bags etc. etc.

It also has, special VZR white clocks, short ratio 5 spd gearbox, limited slip dif (I think), special 15" alloy wheels, uprated suspension, uprated steering for extra feel - all as standard.

This car has also been fitted with a stainless steel cat back exhaust and a Blitz induction kit (original induction box still available). It also has a Cat 1 Toad alarm/immobiliser with full documentation. Unusally the car has service history from Japan and has FSH since it was bought in the UK. It has also recently been fitted with an uprated (GTiR) clutch and new brake pads all around. The car is relatively light also weighing in at 1140kg.

Never heard of one of these? I am not suprised! One of only around 10 in the entire country, this is one stunning hot hatch. The UK got the Almera SRi 1.6, and the Japs had this!!! The engine is incredible, much like a Honda VTEC but it happens in 2 stages. At 5800 the engine really takes off big time and at 7000rpm it goes absolutely mad right up until the 8000rpm limiter. Its great and the noise will bring a smile to your face!!

Handling is superb for a FWD car, really sticks to the road and you can push it really hard round the bends, brakes are also excellent.

The car is comparable to a EK9 Civic type R, but MUCH cheaper at only £5100 OTR. I consider this car to be a performance bargain, and a rare one at that.

Ideal for someone who wants a Type R but doesnt want to pay that much money, or someone wanting an economical 2nd car that is great fun.

Please DO NOT compare this car to a UK Almera, they share nothing except for similar looks, it would be like comparing an Type R honda to the base model.
